Virginia creeper, five-leaved ivy, woodbine, or five-finger (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) is a woody vine that grows throughout North America. It is often used as a decorative plant due to it’s bright red foliage in the fall. This photo was taken in summer when the leaves were green. Virginia creeper is a prolific climber and can often be seen covering walls, fences or telephone poles.
